Middle Tennessee Magic Club 2012 Meeting Schedule
The Middle Tennessee Magic Club meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:02 PM Central Time at the North Boulevard Church of Christ located at 1112 N. Rutherford Blvd in Murfreesboro, Tennessee (except for January and June as shown here on this page).
Below we've listed our Ring's Meeting Schedule for 2012. Each month we'll have either a "theme" and a mini-lecture or Teach-A-Trick segment. There will always be 'open time' for anyone to perform some magic so come ready to present any style you'd like - even if it doesn't match the "theme" for the month. 2012 is shaping up to be a most memorable year for The Middle Tennessee Magic Club and we don't want you to miss a moment of the fun!

January 8th - special date & location
Annual post-Holiday Holiday Bash
This year the Post Holiday Bash will held at the home of past Vice President Reo Hagood located at 2008 Stillwell Ct. in Murfreesboro. The traditional theme is “Thank you Santa” or “Any effect I got in 2011” but feel free to perform any type of magic you’d like. We’ll have plenty of time for fellowship & fun, good food, and (as always) some great magic. Join us, won’t you? See the map below for directions.
February 7th
Be My Love
Valentine’s Day is on the 14th. So we want to see what Valentine’s or lovey-dovey effect you have up your sleeve. Show us the sensitive side of your magic. We’ll also have the second part of his mini-lecture on Chop Cups from member Jeff Mullins.
March 6th
It’s An Ill Wind
We’re all full of it - hot air that is. And so are Balloons. Show us your favorite routine or effect with balloons. Twist ‘em, penetrate ‘em, eat ‘em . . . . whatever you can do to be entertaining with them. Plus, we’ll have a mini lecture on using silks in your act.
April 3rd
We Need A Good Shower
A water trick would be in order. Stand back, it should be a fun night. We’ll also have a Teach A Trick segment presented by Ring Sergeant-At-Arms John Harmon.
May 1st
Now Ain’t That A Daisy
With spring in the air we want you to do something light, fluffy, and fun. Plus, we’ll have a mini lecture entitled “Linking Rings 101”.
June 9th - special date, location, & time
Combo Swap ‘N Sell & Picnic
We’ll be holding our annual Magic Flea Market Swap ‘n Sell combined with our annual picnic on Saturday, June 9th starting at 4 PM. Bring your gently-used magical items to sell or just stop buy to browse. Tables space is free to Ring 252 members, $10 for nonmembers (it costs nothing to shop). Doors will open at 3:30 PM for folks to start setting-up. There will be no Business meeting, Activity or Open Time on this night. Don’t forget to bring some food to share. The Ring will supply the hot dogs & hamburgers (to be served around 6 PM). SPECIAL LOCATION: this will be held at the Florence Church of Christ located at 6732 Old Nashville Highway in Murfreesboro. July 3rd
Hooray! Hooray!
It’s that time of year again. We’ll be featuring Red, White, and Blue Effects at this meeting. In addition, we’ll have a Teach A Trick segment presented by Ring President Rob Covert.
August 7th
When You’re Hot, You’re Hot
Break out the coolest trick you’ve got and show us how ‘hot’ you can get with it. Plus, we’ll have a mini lecture on “The Proper Handling of Props”.
September 4th
Ring, Ring Goes The Bell
It’s back to school time. So tonight we want to see your favorite Children’s routine or effect. We’re all big kids at heart anyway. Additionally, we’ll have a Teach A Trick segment presented by Ring Vice President Wayne Lovell.
October 2nd
Did I Scare You
What better time than the month containing Halloween and the anniversary of Harry Houdini’s death to have Spooky Magic as our theme. What’s your favorite haunted or bizarre effect? Bring it tonight and give us chills that’ll last the whole year. Plus, we’ll have a mini lecture entitled “Coins 101”.
November 6th
You Rotten Turkey
This whole month builds up to the big feast on Thanksgiving. So why not start things off with magic involving food. We’ve all got at least one effect that using some type of food. Bring it and we promise not to each your act. We’ll also have a Teach A Trick segmented presented by Ring Secretary Eldridge Alexander..
December 4th
2013 Election of Officers
HO! HO! HO!
After we elect Officers for 2013 it’ll be time to get back to magic. And with the Christmas Season in full swing, what better time to show off your favorite or latest Christmas or Holiday Effect. Plus, we’ll have a mini lecture entitled “Mentalism 101”.
