Veteran's Day 2009
Ring 252's Blaine Little decided that on November 11th, Veteran's Day, he wanted to give something back to the veterans who reside at the Tennessee Veterans' Administration Hospital and Retirement complex in Murfreesboro by offering the them a magic show. The 2009 Fall Festival of MAGIC
On October 23rd and 24th, 2009 The Middle Tennessee Magic Club started a new fall tradition with the inaugural production of The Fall Festival of MAGIC at the Center for the Arts in Murfreesboro. Both nights saw a packed house giving thunderous applause to the cast that included Eldridge Alexander, LoCo Magic (Wayne Lovell and Rob Covert), Jerry Fraley of Twisted Mind Majik, Jeff Lewis, Mayhem Magic (Jeff Mullins and Jimbo Hooten), our special guest performer Wallace Redd, and Master of Ceremonies Dr. Gary Flegal. Howl-O-Ween Magic 2006
Howl-O-Ween Magic 2006 that was held on October 28th, 2006. The theme for the show was 'Remembering Harry Houdini on the 80th Anniversary of his Death'. All of the acts in the show were either referenced Houdini or were in the haunted/bizarre magic genera. Members who performed, all of whom were outstanding, included Gene Cunningham in the lobby before the show and then in the show Kyle Lewis, Wayne Lovell as Frodrick Von Blucher, The Amazing Moe (Kevin Morell), Austin Braswell, David Williams & Treasurer Jeff Mullins as Los Illusionistas Enmascarados de Mutilacion Criminal, and Vice President Jerry Fraley & Lydia Helm. Let's also not forget Eldridge Alexander as Igor and Web Master & President Alan Fisher serving as the Master of Ceremonies. Congratulations to one and all for a job well done. And a big thank you to Ring member who worked behind-the-scenes for the show: stage manager Eric Jamborsky, assistant stage manager Matthew Neely with Rob Covert, Tom Gibson, Vickie Gibson, Jimbo Hooten and Jeff Lewis on crew. We also need to recognize family members Jennifer Fraley, Jeannie Jamborsky, David Alexander and Becky Alexander who worked the box office and were ushers for us. And we can't forget Ring member Mark Gray whose company Precision Signworks created some incredible reproductions of famous Houdini posters for us to use on stage. 11th Annual Highland Games
The Middle Tennessee Magic Club once again performed 3 shows daily at the annual Tennessee Highland Games & Scottish Festival on October 7th and 8th, 2006. This year's performers included Web Master & President Alan Fisher and Dr. Gary Flegal with Tom Gibson serving as the MC on Saturday. The shows were extremely well received with attendance topping out at over 100 for a single performance. For some great photos from that show, click the link below.
2006 Winter Carnival of Magic
The annual Winter Carnival of Magic convention in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is always a great weekend of magic & fun and the 2006 edition was no exception. The folks at Ring 58 in Knoxville do a great job each year and we congratulate them on another wonderful event. As always The Middle Tennessee Magic Club was well represented at the convention. Some of the members attending included Ring President Alan Fisher, Ring Treasurer Jeff Mullins, Scott Cantrell, Trevor Conyer, Tom Gibson, Vickie Gibson, Larry Finley, Jim Ford, Dale Fryman, Eric Jamborsky, Jeff Lewis, Kyle Lewis and Eddie Richards among others. The highlight of the whole weekend came Saturday night when our own Tom Gibson was announced as the winner of the Stage Competition, Adult Division and Kyle Lewis was crowned the winner of the Close Up Competition, Youth Division. Friday and Saturday, October 28 & 29, 2005 The Middle Tennessee Magic Club presented 2 sold-out shows at the Center for the Arts in Murfreesboro, TN. We want to thank all of the members of the club who performed in the shows (David Williams, Jim Hooten, Jeff Mullins, Kevin Morell, Jerry Fraley, Wayne Lovell, Eldridge Alexander as 'Igor", Megan Lewis as Frankie and Master of Ceremonies Eric Jamborsky as "Dr. Reneau"), those who performed in the lobby before the shows (Jim Ford), at the reception afterwards (Jeff & Kyle Lewis) or worked back stage (stage manager & light design Alan Fisher and stage hands Matthew Neely, Jeff Lewis, Kyle Lewis, Clark Kirsh & Harvey Turner). We'd also like to give a very big thank you to Mark Gray from "It's Magic" for creating some beautiful, full-color Act Signs for use during the show (like they used to have during the heyday of Vaudeville). We want to thank all of the members of the club who performed in the shows (David Williams, Roy Tucker, Jim Hooten, Jeff Mullins, Tom Gibson, Scott Cantrell, Kevin Morell, Eldridge Alexander as 'The Hunchback" and Master of Ceremonies Eric Jamborsky as "Dr. Reneau"), those who performed in the lobby before the shows (Jim Ford & Eddie Richards) or worked back stage (stage manager & light design Alan Fisher and stage hands Vickie Gibson & Harvey Turner). SEAM 2004
Ring 37, The Nashville Magic Club, hosted the South East Association of Magicians annual convention over the Labor Day weekend and what a great convention it was. Our hearty congratulations to the folks at Ring 37. The event was attended by many members of The Middle Tennessee Magic Club. A big congratulations to our own Kyle Lewis who won the Youth Division of the Stage Competition, Larry Finley who won the Adult Stage Competition, David Williams who represented us so well in the "Best of SEAM" show, Scott Cantrell who wowed 'em in the Friday night show and Tom & Vickie Gibson along with all of our members who are also in Ring 37 on a job well done. Razzle Dazzle 5 Public Show
Saturday, May 18, 2004 was the date and the Center For The Arts in Murfreesboro, TN was the place. The Middle Tennessee Magic Club held its 5th big version of The Razzle Dazzle Magic Show. 2004 Winter Carnival of Magic
Every March the magic world makes the trek to beautiful Gatlinburg, Tennessee for the annual Winter Carnival of Magic. This year marked the big 30th and it was great. Known as "the friendliest convention in magic" the Winter Carnival certainly lived up to that moniker in 2004. Many members of The Middle Tennessee Magic Club were in attendance. André Kole Show
On January 22, 2004 The Middle Tennessee Magic Club along with many others from the local magic community shared an unforgettable night with one of the true legends of our craft, André Kole. Wild Magic lecture
The Middle Tennessee Magic Club had the honor of hosting a lecture by Tom Jones and Rachel Wild from Wild Magic on November 13, 2002. Their material was great, highly commercial and very effective. The lecture was well attended not only by Ring 252 members but many non-members from the local magic community.
